India's cybersecurity landscape is shifting rapidly as threats grow more sophisticated. Mitigata, an AI-native cyber resilience startup, just closed a $15 million Series B funding round to scale its global defenses. Announced on June 23, 2026, the investment round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners. The fresh capital arrives at a critical moment for enterprises struggling to defend expanding digital footprints against automated threats.

The funding will fuel an aggressive hiring push across research, product development, and engineering functions, allowing the company to double its current team size. Expanding India's largest Security Operations Centre stands as a immediate priority for the core team.

Beyond domestic growth, Mitigata is targeting international markets including the United States, the Middle East, North Africa, and Southeast Asia. These regions combine rapid digital adoption with high cyber-risk environments, making them ideal expansion targets.

Pankaj Mitra of Bessemer Venture Partners framed the investment as a direct response to mounting systemic risk across major industries. The combination of accelerating AI-driven malicious attacks and a severe shortage of skilled cybersecurity talent has created a perfect storm for Indian enterprises.

Organizations simply cannot afford to build these complex security capabilities in-house anymore. The platform already serves more than 800 organizations across the automotive, manufacturing, healthcare, and financial sectors.

Cybersecurity is entering an AI-first era where traditional prevention methods are no longer enough to guarantee safety. Co-founder and CEO Mohit Anand noted that modern enterprises must focus on how they absorb and recover from attacks rather than simply trying to block them. As malicious actors leverage AI to lower the barrier for sophisticated global attacks, demand for a resilience-first approach is set to accelerate. Mitigata is positioning itself to lead that defensive evolution.
